On November 24 the “Associazione Italia-Russia di Firenze” celebrated its 70th anniversary of cultural activity in Florence with a recital of Russian piano music by Mussorgsky and Rachmaninov performed by concert pianist Natascha Majek. Natascha prepared especially for the event the virtuoso 1874 cycle “Pictures at an Exhibition”. This sensitive performance was greatly enhanced by the uniquely intimate atmosphere of the “Sala della Musica” at Palazzo Rucellai, which was warmly received by the members of the association and their guests. The evening was graciously hosted by its President Dott.ssa Valeria Salvini. The concert was another collaboration between ISI Florence and I Buontalenti who produce the annual San Giovanni Festival each June in Florence for which Natascha has performed in two fund-raising solo piano recitals.
