Jennifer Mann (University of Melbourne) paid a two-day visit to our program (May 31-June 1). She met with ISI Florence staff and faculty and attended the first concert of the concert series offered by the new Performing Arts Program. We are all excited that University of Melbourne students will be enrolled with our program in the fall of 2012, the first Australian addition to the university’s consortium. As a renowned sculptor, Jennifer Mann also recently spent a month in Pietrasanta (near Carrara) to refine her marble sculpting techniques. She heads the Office of the Senior Vice-Principal in Melbourne.

Summer Spaderna (UConn Study Abroad Office) visited Palazzo Bargagli and Palazzo Rucellai, June 3-7. She met with UConn students and sat in on several classes. She spoke with our directors about prospective courses, including “The Culture of Sports” that the famous UConn basketball coach Geno Auriemma will teach at ISI Florence in summer 2013.
