American and Italian architects building a common future

On Wednesday, March 13, twenty-four ISI architecture students met with their peers from Florence University for a week-long workshop. Under the guidance of Prof. Carlo Achilli  (ISI Florence Architecture Coordinator) and instructors from the Faculty of Architecture (University of Florence), both Italian and American students designed new residences for the city’s historic center. As in previous years, this joint ISI-Florence University initiative included lectures, site visits, and  desk critiques. The workshop ended with students presenting their final projects to classmates, instructors, and architects, once again putting down the foundations for a fruitful collaboration between young American and European architects.
