We are pleased to announce that on February 9, 2019 Dr. Michael W. Kwakkelstein (ISI Florence art history professor and Director of the Nederlands Interuniversitair Kunsthistorisch Instituut in Florence) was awarded membership of the Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities.

Professor Kwakkelstein (whose courses on Leonardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo Buonarroti are among the most popular at ISI Florence) is now about to finish a research on Rubens’ anatomical drawings. Once completed, his book will be the last volume of the prestigious Corpus Rubenianum Ludwig Burchard by Brepols Publishers.
