Alexandra Gary (Rutgers Alumna)
Study abroad for me was an integral learning experience and opportunity to gain independence. I look back at so many great memories and times that I had in Florence. The team at ISI Florence is truly special and helped me grow so much as a person. Thank you!
I recently graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. in Italian Literature and European Studies with a minor in Entrepreneurship. I’m working at a co-working space down the street from Rutgers called JuiceTank. A co-working space is a large office space that is rented out to freelancers, entrepreneurs, and small to medium-sized business teams. We get to see companies in their infancy stages and help them grow. It’s an exciting environment and everyone is so talented and driven.
I also do some designing in my spare time and love 3D printers. I used to design for a home storage company on 5th Ave but now I’m doing projects that are more challenging and rewarding. Recently I was designing medical-like devices for individuals with developing motor skills. It was a special project and I still occasionally will make customized pieces for people who request them.
I’m looking to travel more and have a business with flexible hours. You can follow my adventures on my personal blog, or on the Huffington Post where I occasionally submit articles.
