This past September, ISI Florence hosted its annual consortium meeting to discuss new proposals, best practices, and methods to enhance standards of the study abroad program. ISI hosted representatives from UConn, Penn State, UVA, ASU, and University of Melbourne on September 22-25. Time was spent on how best to assist students studying abroad with learning disabilities, the production of new internship opportunities, and developing new tracks and courses, as well as the potential addition of new members to the consortium.
All meetings proceeded well in spite of the increased crowds drawn to Florence due to the World Cycling Championships taking place in the city that week. We are pleased to see that all of our representatives are enthused about our programs and look forward to further innovation with them in the future!
