VART 430 – Introduction to Digital Photography (Summer One & Two only)

Art courses require overall time and extra money for supplies. In this photography course, you are expected to print only enlargements for the Final Portfolio. An overall estimated cost for the entire summer session is 20 Dollars.

Students must be equipped with:

− Digital camera (it is strongly recommended to have a DSLR) of at least 8 megapixels with an optical zoom lens 3X or more is required. Although not mandatory, it is recommended to have a DSLR camera that functions in manual mode. 

− Laptop computer with Adobe Photoshop installed

− Memory card for the camera (at least 8 GB card is suggested) 
− Card reader and an adapter (if needed) to your computer 

− Battery charger for your camera

− USB of good capacity (at least 8 GB) and an adaptor to your computer in case your computer doesn’t have a USB connection

VART 261- Introduction to Photography Portfolio

Art courses require overall time and extra money for supplies. In this photography course you are expected to print only enlargements for the Mid-term and Final Portfolio. An overall estimated cost for the entire semester (including all materials and lab costs) is 40 Dollars.

Please note that you will not be able to use all the photos you take. As the semester proceeds, you will have to select your best shots. Keep in mind that the images you photograph are going to be used as a sketchbook for your visual education.

VART 270 – Street/Travel Photography

Art courses require overall time and extra money for supplies. In this photography course, you are expected to print only enlargements for the Mid-term and Final Portfolio. An overall estimated cost for the entire semester (including all materials and lab costs) is 40 Dollars.

Students must be equipped with:

– A digital single-lens photographic camera (DSLR), or Mirrorless: 12,0 megapixels minimum, with an optical zoom lens or a set of interchangeable prime lenses (wide angle and standard/telephoto lens).

– Laptop, with any photo editing software (Lightroom, Capture One, Photos, Photoshop, or any similar).
