Community engagement does not have just one definition. It means something different to every ISI Florence student who decides to share time, knowledge, skills, and abilities with the Florentine community. Stepping out of one’s comfort zone is a rewarding challenge. The feedback we receive from students at the end of each semester tells us about a better understanding of the local context together with a sense of personal growth and self-discovery. Reflecting on this important hands-on experience helps students build a sense of global citizenship.
