Claire was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, and has always dreamed of living abroad to experience and learn about different cultures. This passion led her to participate in a study abroad program in Siena, Italy, in 2017, where she fell in love with Italian culture and the language. She studied Communication Sciences, Film, and Business at the University of Missouri, and shortly after graduating, made the move to Florence to become a TEFL teacher for adults and children in the Florence area.
After several career changes, she finds herself at ISI – where it feels like a full circle moment in her story. She hopes to help students flourish during their own study abroad programs and fall in love with a country or city just as she did years ago. Some interesting facts about Claire: she is a photographer who hopes to have her own exhibition someday in Florence, and you can usually find her at concerts either in Florence, Italy, or even in other countries.
She’s also an avid solo traveler and a huge foodie, so don’t hesitate to ask her for restaurant recommendations in Florence or many cities across Europe!
