Firenze University Press has recently appointed ISI Florence director Stefano U. Baldassarri editor-in-chief of its series titled “Storici e Cronisti di Firenze”. After serving on this series’ editorial board for several years, Prof. Baldassarri has been unanimously elected to this role in recognition of his academic reputation. From the early 1990s onwards, Prof. Baldassarri has authored critical editions, anthologies, monographs, and articles on late medieval and Renaissance literature, translation theory and practice, as well as early modern Italian history. In the US, his works have been published, among others, by Yale UP and Harvard UP; in Italy, instead, he has mostly published with Le Lettere, Olschki, and Viella.
