I particularly enjoyed the trip to the “English” Cemetery, because of Sister Julia, the superintendent. She was the sweetest woman with the kindest voice. She spoke with such passion and enthusiasm about what she had accomplished with the graves. She knew the stories of those that were buried there and cared about their lives. You would have thought she was speaking of old friends as she pointed out each grave. I would love to go back there every day to just sit and listen to her tell story after story. She impressed me most when she spoke so kindly of the Roma who help her renovate the graves. She took two separate things that need help and brought them together as if adding two and two to get ten! She is helping them and they are helping her: it is such a great idea.
