On Monday February 2nd at Palazzo Vecchio in Piazza della Signoria, the English version of the “Charter of Educational Services” for public kindergartens in Florence was officially presented. In attendance at the ceremony were Cristina Giachi, Florence Vice Mayor and Cultural Attaché , ISI Director Prof. Stefano Baldassarri and Alba Cortecci, Head of Pedagogical Coordination Committee in Florence.
The 75-page manual of the “Charter of Educational Services” serves as a guideline for parents, educators, and the Coordination Committee on all aspects regarding educational services for children up to three years of age.
ISI Florence played a crucial role in the event; the staff not only translated the entire document but also had the important task of explaining the main concepts of the Italian Educational System. ISI Florence was pleased to provide its services in hopes of strengthening the partnership with the Municipality of Florence – a partnership that allows students to participate in the lives of kindergarten-aged children through internships and service-learning programs.
