Going abroad is a big step and certain aspects may seem overwhelming. In this portion of the website, you’ll find some practical information to help you thoroughly prepare for your exciting experience in Florence.
Read the Pre-Departure Handbook
If you have been accepted to the program and sent the required deposit, we ask that you read the Pre-Departure Handbook carefully and fully. If you have not already received it via email please contact us at [email protected].
The pre-departure handbook contains nearly all the information and suggestions you need to prepare yourself for your study abroad experience. However, it is not at all unusual for students to have many questions and concerns that are not addressed in the handbook. We encourage you, as well as your parents and relatives, to contact us with any questions. Email: [email protected]
Telephone (from the U.S.): 011-39-055-2645910
The main office at the Institute is open 9:00am to 5:00pm weekdays Italian time. Please remember that we are six hours ahead of the U.S. Eastern Standard Time before calling. You may leave a message after hours.
Check the Calendar
Check the calendar in the pre-departure handbook for key dates such as arrival, departure, mid-terms, semester break, final exams, etc. Please ask all friends and relatives to visit during the break if they intend to visit significantly longer than a weekend. Also, see the Visiting Florence link.
