The Spring 2013 Fiorenza International School Cup saw our old rivals Gonzaga University win first place overall. Our two ISI teams, however, concluded the season with honor. After a hard fought quarter-final, ISI 2 won the game 3-0, going on to face James Madison University but losing a close match in the semis. ISI 2 ended third and ISI 1 came fifth. On top of getting the third-place trophy, Julia Byrne (Conn College) was awarded Best Female Player. And, Rino Punzo of ISI staff received the Most Valuable Coach trophy for showing his skills on the field, in the goal, and on the side line all season long. Well done Julia and Rino!
