As finals are quickly approaching and the warmer weather is rolling in, the semester is coming to a close. With this being said it is time to buckle down and prepare for finals. In order to survive finals week, we came up with a few of our own tips and tricks to help you get through the week without breaking a sweat!

Places to Study in Florence

  • Biblioteca delle Oblate (located near the hospital, FREE access, open till midnight for all those procrastinators out there).
  • Arnold’s Coffee (the downstairs is full of open tables accompanied with free WiFi it’s the perfect place to write a paper or study for an exam).
  • Palazzo Bargagli and Palazzo Rucellai (our very own class buildings offer great study spaces as well).

Tips before the big day

  • Make sure you eat a balanced breakfast to keep your energy levels high (La Vespe Café, Arnold’s Coffee, or even pick up some fruit from a grocery store for breakfast. Fun Fact: blueberries helps improve short-term memory!).
  • Get plenty of sleep (resist the need for karaoke at the Garter the night before).
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Study hard but it is important to take study breaks. Take time to get some fresh air (taking a walk up to Piazza Michelangelo is always a good option).

Keep Organized

  • Buy a planner if you have not already (you can buy one at Tiger).
  • Keep your dates straight (finals’ timetable is posted in the hallways of both buildings).
  • You can pick up extra school supplies at the 0,99 Cents store and Tiger.

We hope that these tips and tricks make finals week a little easier for you! Good luck with the rest of the semester and finish strong!

Ciao Ragazzi!
