Students fluent in Italian may take two or, in exceptional cases, up to three courses at the University of Florence. ISI Florence counsels the student on courses and facilitates the required direct registration. The Direct Enrollment Program at the University of Florence (Università degli Studi di Firenze) offers students the unique opportunity to gain a truly immersive experience in Italian culture and in the European style of education. Students take courses with local peers at the Italian University yet benefit from the same services (orientation, safety, cultural activities, etc.) as students enrolled in other ISI Florence programs. Students may enroll in the Direct Enrollment program one semester or a full year; each semester involves language review courses as well as tutorials and support sessions at the Institute.
