Palazzo Rucellai

The headquarters and large classrooms of the Institute is located on the main floor of Palazzo Rucellai, a historic residential palace designed in the mid-fifteenth century by Leon Battista Alberti, eminent Renaissance humanist, scholar, and architect.

Located on the splendid Via della Vigna Nuova in the city center, Palazzo Rucellai is one of the oldest and most prestigious patrician residences in Florence, holding an important place in the historic patrimony. It has been home to the Rucellais for over 500 years and the family continues to occupy portions of the building today.
